This section separates the lower end of the garden from a woodland area.
Bamboo Palm - tall clusters of hardy native palms. Honor victims of illegal US and Canadian government sponsored psychiatric and medical experiments. Planted in 1997.
Conversation Piece Azalea - light and medium pink blossoms in late spring. Honors the right of all abuse survivors to communicate their experiences. Planted September, 1997.
Fancy bamboo - donated by a supporter in 1999. Dedicated to her memory.
Leatherleaf Mahonia - evergreen bush with prickly, holly-like leaves. Clusters of tiny white flowers followed by blue berries in late spring. Berries attract bluebirds. Planted in 1996.
Golden Bamboo - tall light-green bamboo with delicate gold-green leaves. Honors U.S. and Canadian military veterans victimized by government representatives who used "Manchurian Candidate" and other forms of brainwashing and mind-control techniques to externally influence and control the victims' behavior and actions. Planted October, 2000.
Blue Spruce Sedum - low growing groundcover the color of blue spruce. Planted in 1996.
Blue Bonnet hydrangea - bushes honor male survivors of mind-control, torture and slavery. Mounds of blue blossoms in late spring and mid-summer. Planted September, 1997. Forsythia - hardy bushes with long, drooping branches. Covered with bold yellow blossoms in early spring. Kuhnert hydrangea - bush honors female survivors of mind-control, torture, and slavery. Mounds of pink and lavender blossoms in late spring and mid-summer. Planted September, 1997.
Ornamental Bench - donated by a supporter for visitors to relax and enjoy the beauty of the garden and the songs of a variety of birds that inhabit the nearby woodland area. Installed March, 2002.
