A new Internet human rights advocacy group, Concerned Citizens against Extreme Abuse (CCEA), began in January 2010. It is open to any individual who is concerned about Extreme Abuse.

Group moderator Kathleen Sullivan explains: "This group seeks members who have: an open mind, caring heart, respectful demeanor, strong resolve, humble spirit, love for truth, and a willingness to share, learn and grow. Our group will not change the world. It may not even make a significant dent in the existence and prevalence of Extreme Abuse in this generation, or in the next. However, we will - as a group and as individual members - make significant and important contributions towards the public's awareness - and eventual ending - of Extreme Abuse in our world."

Kathleen Sullivan has developed a new recovery website, Healing Journey, at http://healingjourney.us.com This groundbreaking website may be especially helpful for adult survivors of trauma and abuse. In it, Kathleen addresses the challenges of coping with the negative effects of grief, trauma and abuse. She also focuses on recovery issues that most websites still do not address. Kathleen provides practical information that can help readers cope more effectively with the existence of human evil in the world, and can also help readers gradually transition from a self-destructive state of unresolved anger and bitterness to a more peaceful state of acceptance, understanding, and forgiveness towards those who have harmed us and our loved ones.

Books by Robert Grant, Ph.D.
Robert Grant is a psychologist and a seasoned trauma specialist. He has worked with numerous survivors of extreme abuse and teaches professionals how to help survivors understand and accept the full range of their selves.
